Presentations and Presentation Uploading

Although a laptop computer will be available in each room for the presentations, presenters are encouraged to use their own laptops for their talks, thus avoiding compatibility problems with fonts, movies and software versions. Our facilities are equipped with VGA connectors (DE-15), therefore, if your laptop uses other output formats, please ensure that you bring with you the proper adaptor. Electric power in Canada is supplied at 110 V, 60 Hz, so a power transformer may be necessary as well.

If using our designated laptop, presenters are encouraged to upload their presentations to our database, so that we can test them for compatibility. This should be done as soon as possible and well in advance of the symposium starting date, July 28. Presentations to be uploaded are accepted as single file documents in either pdf or Microsoft PowerPoint formats and with a maximum file size of 10 MB; if you have movies, please sent all your files in a single compressed zip file. To upload your file you must complete the following form, which includes a valid contact e-mail address. Please note that no confirmation e-mail will be sent to you, however a confirmation message will be displayed following a successful file upload. TSFP-7 will not be responsible for providing you with your presentation file during the symposium, therefore please make sure that you bring a copy with you.
